10 Business Niches: Choosing a Telegram Workflow in BotMarketing
By BotMarketing.pro published updated
A nail technician needs an appointment, a cake maker needs an approved brief, and a rental operator needs an available camera for the whole hire period. They all need customer contact, but the resource checks differ. This guide compares ten business niches, shows a first workflow in BotMarketing for each, and helps you decide what your team must still confirm.
Check the audience and workflow before the industry label
Take one typical customer request and answer the questions below. Use a specific action or named owner in each answer; “more sales” does not describe the process you need to set up.
- Will your customers use Telegram? Check with your actual audience in the target market: can they open the bot and complete the intended action? The owner’s preferred messenger does not establish customer preference.
- Which action repeats? It might be selecting products and quantities, requesting one appointment, or sending a project brief. If every request needs a new quote, start with staff-assisted enquiries.
- Can you maintain a current offer? You need accurate photographs, a clear price basis, inclusions and conditions. Assign someone to update cards when the offer changes.
- What must be checked before confirmation? Name the source of truth for staff time, ready-made stock, kitchen capacity, room nights or supplier places. Define when a request becomes confirmed.
- Who owns fulfilment? Someone must see the order or enquiry, reply, and hand over the agreement to the next shift. Set a response window the team can meet.
- Is there a useful reason to return? A next session, new collection or reorder can justify an easy return path. Ask about future messages. A one-off purchase can still work through a bot; it does not need an ongoing campaign.
If audience preference, pricing or availability is unresolved, settle it first. The separate Telegram, Instagram and website comparison helps choose a channel; this guide helps choose the workflow within it.
Ten niches: a first workflow and its operational check
This is an editorial selection matrix, not a profitability ranking. Each row gives a specific example and links to a detailed guide. BotMarketing presents the offer, accepts an order or enquiry, and supports customer correspondence. Resource confirmation depends on the check in the final column.
| Niche and guide | Customer action | Set up in BotMarketing | Staff check |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1. Nail technician | Select a service and request a time. | Priced service cards with durations and one shared schedule for the technician. Staff confirm the time request in bookings. | Removal, design complexity and the full treatment time. Availability for one service must account for the technician’s other services. |
| 2. Private tutor | Agree the lesson format and request a session. | A service stating subject, level, duration and price; a schedule and booking messages. | Who approves changes: parent or student; time zone, recipient and revised reminder text. Lesson resources are managed separately. |
| 3. Café | Select ready-made products and quantities for collection. | Goods catalogue, limited stock where appropriate, cart and orders; staff reply in the order conversation. | Collection time, kitchen capacity, ingredients and item availability. Ready-made stock does not calculate production capacity. |
| 4. Jewellery maker | Buy a ready-made item or enquire about a commission. | Separate ready-made product cards; support for a custom brief and staff reply. | Size, materials, approved design, final quote and lead time. Ordering a standard piece does not approve a custom design. |
| 5. Personal trainer | Book one session from a purchased package. | A session card, trainer schedule and administrative messages; retain the package order reference in the working ledger. | Paid and used sessions in an external record. A future booking does not itself consume the package balance. |
| 6. Tour guide | Request an excursion for a private group. | A route card and support enquiry with date, party size and requirements; staff reply in support. | Guide, transport, tickets and route readiness. A consultation slot does not reserve a supplier’s places. |
| 7. Guesthouse | Send arrival and departure dates and party details. | Accommodation cards with a clear rate basis; support for a quote, confirmation and pre-arrival message. | Every night, other sales channels and room readiness in the external property ledger. Appointment slots do not manage room nights. |
| 8. Rental operator | Request an item, full hire period and accessories. | Rental service catalogue and support request; an ordinary order for an exact agreed package, with order messages. | The actual unit, components, return and turnaround. Product stock and order status do not maintain an asset availability calendar. |
| 9. Photographer | Select a package and agree a shoot. | Cards stating delivered image count and timing, support for the brief, then the photographer’s schedule after clarification. | Studio, equipment, travel and editing deadline. Gallery delivery and permission to publish images are separate processes. |
| 10. Custom cake maker | Send the event date, servings, flavour and decoration brief. | An example showcase and support for approval; an order only at the agreed specification and total, with preparation and collection messages. | Production capacity, ingredients and allergens, approved decoration and delivery. Ask the purchaser before sending future occasion messages. |
For an individual appointment, a schedule checks time within its configured resource. Group places need a separate capacity record; hospitality needs room-night inventory; rentals need asset allocation. Test your actual workflow even if the interface calls all these requests “bookings”. Professional training, suitability and confidential case records remain outside this administrative comparison.
Two cases where another tool should come first
Customers want browser checkout and do not use Telegram
Illustrative case: a shop gets one-off search enquiries from shoppers who want delivery checkout on its website. Requiring a bot adds a move to an unfamiliar channel. First establish website checkout or an enquiry form; offer Telegram as an additional route to customers who prefer it. Telegram’s documentation explains that Mini Apps launch inside Telegram. That capability does not establish audience adoption in your country or customer segment.
The property’s immediate need is shared room inventory
Another illustrative case: a guesthouse sells the same room through several agencies and staff cannot reconcile changes in time. First establish property-management records and a channel-synchronisation solution with the required integrations. BotMarketing can then support direct enquiries and arrival messages against that source of truth. More requests do not resolve conflicting room allocations.
Launch the chosen workflow in BotMarketing
- Define one customer journey. Write down the entry point, selection, confirmation owner and delivered result. Use the small-business customer workflow guide to check the overall sequence.
- Prepare the offer and entry. Configure the company profile and its Telegram bot, and publish a clear mini-site link. Create the required goods or services category with genuine prices and conditions; check how a customer opens the Mini App. Verify feature access and limits in the current subscription, and grant staff the appropriate handling permissions.
- Choose the request route. For standard goods, enable ordering and maintain stock. For custom quotes, disable ordering on that card and direct the customer to support through the button or /support; staff handle it in support requests. For an individual appointment, configure service duration and the correctly assigned schedule; a time request requires staff confirmation.
- Assign fulfilment. In Orders, staff take the order into processing, check conditions, save an internal note and reply in its conversation. They handle a support enquiry in its own thread. Update external kitchen, package, room or asset records manually; mark payment after checking receipt.
- Walk through it as a customer. Open the link, submit a request, receive clarification and confirmation. Test a time or specification change, cancellation and an unavailable item. Add a second workflow and relevant return offers only after this route works.
A first launch for a café
Illustrative workflow: collection of ready-made pastries from the current menu. The owner creates product cards with the actual available quantity. A customer chooses two products in the Mini App and submits an order; staff see it in Orders, check collection, send the agreed time and mark completion after handover. Delivery, bespoke cakes and rewards can wait until this first route is checked.
Keep a working list of missing enquiry details, outdated products, whether confirmation reached the customer, and whether handover matched the agreement. These checks can be made from the requests themselves without analytics setup. Future messages need an established contact: Telegram explains that an ordinary bot cannot initiate a private conversation with an arbitrary user. Invite customers to open the bot themselves and separately agree promotional messages.
